Have you ever wondered what is the difference between TECS and the cooperatives you usually see in Kerala? No special educational qualification are required to become general cooperative members and to reach the goverining body, but technical education in civil engineering is mandatory to become a member of TECS. While in normal co-operatives the governing body appoints offices to take decisions and implement them, TECS (R-1568) is the intellectual hub of Thrissur district for civil engineers with a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 50 years of experience. All the members of TECS are civil engineering experts registered by Urban Affairs Department, Government of Kerala.
